Boca Juniors capped its Argentine Apertura championship by defeating Olimpo Bahia Blanca 2-0 in the last round on Sunday amid thousands of happy fans at Bombonera stadium.
Matias Silvestre scored off a header in the 14th minute and Rodrigo Palacio made it 2-0 in the 59th for a seventh straight win for Boca, which won the tournament last week. It was Boca's fourth cup in less than a year, after the South American Recopa and Copa Sudamericana, and the Clausura championship.
Boca ended with 43 points, followed by Lanus with 35, River Plate with 34, Gimnasia Jujuy on 33, and Gimnasia La Plata at 32.
River Plate defeated host Quilmes 3-1 in a match which was suspended in the 67th minute because of fan violence.
Elsewhere, it was Instituto 1, Velez 1; Lanus 1, Estudiantes 1; Rosario Central 2, Independiente 0; Gimnasia Jujuy 2, Tiro Federal 1; Banfield 2, Gimnasia La Plata 0; and San Lorenzo 0, Arsenal 2.

Cranes skipper Ibrahim Sekagya was on Sunday night red-carded in the 90th minute for a second bookable offence as his Arsenal de Sarandi side suffered a 3-0 away defeat to Lanus in Argentina’s top flight. After three days of training, the U.S. Under-20 Men's National Team drew 2-2 against Arsenal de SarandiU-20 in their first match of their 10-day training camp in Argentina. The U.S. fell behind twice in the match, but was able to pull even with goals from Preston Zimmerman and Dax McCarty at the AFA training center in Ezeiza outside the city. With only six players from the first camp of the year involved in this trip, the team faced a strong challenge from an experienced and physical Argentine squad. A lack of cohesiveness and match experience showed as the U.S. struggled early on to form their attack, with most opportunities coming from set pieces. Thirty minutes into the match, Carlos Borja lost the ball in midfield, leaving the U.S. flank exposed. With one pass an Arsenal forward was through, providing goalkeeper Steven Sandbo with little chance as he slotted the ball to the far post. But the lone goal of the half belied an even match as both sides battled for possession in a fast paced game with many strong challenges. The U.S. found their feet in the second half. Strong play down the left flank, starting with Blake Wagner at left back, led to the equalizer in the 54th minute. Sal Zizzo brought the ball back into the center for Josmer Altidore, whose pass to Borja gave Zimmerman space at the top of the area. The Hamburg SV reserve ran on to Borja´s through ball, sliding to beat the keeper and put the ball into the side netting. After Zimmerman's goal, the match opened up as both teams pushed forward. The U.S. began creating chances from open play, but it was Arsenal that struck next. A cross from the right midfielder tested Sandbo, who dove out to his right to punch it away, but the Arsenal left midfielder knocked the ball back into the mix. With Sandbo out of position, a lucky deflection found the head of an Arsenal player in the ensuing goalmouth scramble. The Arsenal player was poaching in the center and literally didn’t have time to duck his head before the ball struck him and went into the goal. The U.S. U-20s showed theirr character and scratched back into the game once again. Ten minutes later, after winning back possession, the U.S. defenders played the ball back to Sandbo who launched the ball into Arsenal´s half. Zizzu skillfully brought the ball down with a defender on his back and then found Zimmerman, who again found space to get inside his man and collect Zizzu´s pass. As he tried to turn towards goal inside the box, Zimmerman was brought down and the referee pointed to the spot. McCarty put away the ensuing penalty to finish the scoring for the day.

The United States U-20 National Team will have its first foreign camp of the year as it heads to Buenos Aires, Argentina on Tuesday.
Head Coach Thomas Rongen selected a 20 player roster which includes two New York Red Bulls. Rongen selected Red Bulls forwards Josmer Altidore and David Arvizu. It is both players first camp with the U-20's taking the jump from U-17 team. Altidore is the youngest player in the U-20 camp; turning 17 in November.
The U-20's will take on three opponents during their ten day trip to Argentina. The team will begin its trip playing against two youth clubs. It will first play Arsenal de Sarandi and then face off against one of South America's top clubs, River Plate. The trip will culminate with the U-20's first international game of the year as they take on defending U-20 World Cup Champions, Argentina.
"We are looking forward to our first foreign trip as we begin to formulate the team that will compete in the qualifying tournament for a berth in the World Cup next year," said Rongen in a statement. "It is still early in the process, but playing two quality games against top-notch Argentina club teams and then getting the chance to test ourselves against the reigning U-20 world champion makes this a very worthwhile camp. Going up against this high-level competition will help us to determine which players will probably be with us next year."
Arvizu will miss the New York Red Bulls game against DC United on April 22. Arvizu has not appeared in the Red Bulls lineup this season, but has been on the bench in the team's first two games. Altidore is not expected to appear regularly with the Red Bulls as he is finishing his final year of high school at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.

Independiente fell behind in the 13th minute when Martin Pautasso turned the ball into his own net.
But Pautasso atoned by providing the cross for 17-year-old Agüero to head home the equaliser in the 35th minute.
Agüero could have added another four minutes over but wasted the chance by firing over.

Both Patrick Vieira and Arsene Wenger will tell you there are no regrets on either side about Arsenal's long-time midfield enforcer leaving for Juventus last summer.
Yet there will always remain the question of what might have been had things worked out differently.
Certainly Vieira has revelled in his new life in Turin.
Together with Brazil international Emerson, the former Gunners captain has formed what Juve coach Fabio Capello claims is the world's best central midfield partnership.
Serie A's defending champions opened the Italian league season with nine successive wins, a display of impressive form which the Bianconeri have largely maintained in another dominant campaign.
And there is no doubt the departure of his general in a #13.7million deal left Wenger with a huge void in the centre of Arsenal's midfield, which is only now slowly starting to be filled by the likes of promising youngsters Cesc Fabregas and Abou Diaby.
Wenger, however, maintains clearing the way for the World Cup winner, who turns 30 in June, to further his career elsewhere was right for all parties at the time.
Once you take a decision, you stick with your decisions. I am never somebody who looks back,'' the Arsenal boss declared. I knew the first year could be difficult without him, but once you make that decision, you accept that.
I am grateful for what Patrick has done for us, but I am focused on what the team is doing in the future.
To show that we have been right by doing this or that, is not important.

The pace of the Serie A certainly seems to suit Vieira, giving him the opportunity to enjoy time and space on the ball - a luxury seldom afforded him in the high-tempo Barclays Premiership.
But for the midfielder, it was perhaps more about meeting his European aspirations rather than continued domestic dominance which led to his decision to call time on the Gunners after nine trophy-laden campaigns.
I made the decision to leave because I felt it was time for me to have a new challenge,'' said Vieira upon his arrival in Italy.
But that does not mean I was unhappy or that I was having a problem at Arsenal.
It was just that I had the feeling I needed to grow and meet a new challenge.''
The Frenchman insisted: ``I have no regrets about leaving Arsenal.
I had to turn the page, and I have done that. It has proved to be a fantastic move for me.
When I joined Juventus, I always knew I was coming to a side who would have the players to go far in the Champions League.

Juventus are hoping that delays to their travel plans are not a bad omen for Tuesday's Champions League quarter-final opener against Arsenal.

The club was founded in January 1957 by brothers Héctor and Julio Humberto Grondona. Its jersey is light blue with a diagonal red band (roughly resembling the jersey used by River Plate); the colors were chosen to symbolize the union of the two bigger clubs in Avellaneda: Racing (light blue) and Independiente (red).
Julio Grondona went on to become the president of Independiente, and then, starting 1979, president of the Argentine Football Association, a post he still holds. He is also a vice-president of FIFA. Brother Héctor, and then son Julio Ricardo, followed him as presidents of Arsenal.
The club's best-known player is Jorge Burruchaga, who started his career in the club in 1979, and coached the team from 2002 to 2005. Burru is best known for having scored the winning goal for Argentina in the 1986 World Cup final against Germany.
Arsenal was promoted to successively higher divisions in 1962, 1986, 1992, and reached the top division in 2002. The club reached the quarter finals of the edition of the Copa Sudamericana.
